| Clinical
Consultation E-mail
A
clinical e-mail consultation is a very simple
procedure. It works like all other forms of
e-mail, with the exception that you are purchasing
a clinical response.
We are currently offering 3 different e-mail
options. The fee structure is based on the
length of the e-mail that you send. The shorter
the e-mail, the less the price, and the briefer
the reply. Of course, the more information
you include in your e-mail detailing the situation
at hand, the more accurate and expansive your
clinical response can be. For the best service
to you, please provide sufficient information
to allow for an accurate understanding of
your situation. E-mails that are too abbreviated
or too vague will be unclear, and therefore,
will receive a less detailed clinical consultation
response.
The
consultation e-mail form provides areas to
respond to the following basic clinical questions
in space separate from your written e-mail:
Personal contact information, if preferred.
Do
you have any known diagnoses?
What
medications are you using?
What
therapeutic support do you have?
What
social support do you have?
What
is your current risk of suicide or self
harm?
Are
you being externally abused in any way?
Providing
this information can increase the effectiveness
of your clinical response, comes at no additional
charge to you, and will not use up your personal
e-mail typing space.

"What
should I write about?"
If
you are having trouble knowing where to start,
in terms of what to type in your consultation
e-mail, you could use some of the following
ideas as a starting place:
What is the main problem, difficulty, or
question you have today?
How
is this currently affecting your life?
What
efforts have you made to resolve this situation?
If
you are DID, how well do you know your internal
system? What are the various viewpoints
being expressed within your system about
the issue you are currently describing?
Are
there any issues that your system is in
conflict about? What are they saying inside?
As
the loved one of a traumatized person, what
questions do you have? What type of support
is lacking for you?
If
you are the protective parent of an abused
child, what concerns do you have about the
safety and stability of your child?
Lists
of issues have been provided under each
of the topic areas in the counseling office.
These lists could give you ideas about the
questions and concerns you have.
You will receive your clinical response from
the clinical director 24 – 48 hours
after payment has been confirmed (please note
that e-checks may take up to 4 or 5 days to
process). The clinical response will be e-mailed
to the address specified on the consultation
form.
