is working to provide online treatment for
sexual abuse and severe trauma in as confidential
manner as possible.
Any clinical exchanges made will become part
of your medical record and will be kept in
a confidential manner like regular outpatient
medical records. All records will be locked
in secure files and will not be visible or
available to anybody outside of AbuseConsultants.com.
According to Joseph
Polauf, a social worker and web designer,
in some states, medical records are considered
to be the legal property of the therapist.
All e-mails, IM transcriptions, and clinical
correspondence with AbuseConsultants.com are
considered to be part of the medical record.
It is illegal to copy or republish any of
the therapeutic correspondence provided by
the Clinical Director or any other therapist
from AbuseConsultants.com in any media (books,
articles, internet, etc.). If you have any
reason to use the material provided by AbuseConsultants.com,
please contact us for written permission at
info@abuseconsultants.com.
At no time will clinical information ever
be sold or distributed.
Without written consent to release information,
the information provided to AbuseConsultants.com
will not be provided to anyone at anytime.
The only exceptions are:
Any suspicions of ongoing child abuse will
be reported to the appropriate authority
Any acute suicidal or homicidal actions
will be reported to the appropriate authorities
Any subpoenas from a court of law will be
handled on an individual basis after legal
advice as been received by AbuseConsultants.com.
