AbuseConsultants.com is an online treatment resource specializing in work with sexual abuse, severe trauma, and dissociative disorders. Other issues such as depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, panic, self injury, addictions, and eating disorders are also addressed, primarily with the frame work as they occur in conjunction with trauma issues. We use a variety of treatment approaches, maintain an emphasis on safety and system communication, and encourage as much creative expression as possible throughout the healing process.

This site is for trauma survivors of all ages -- adults, teenagers, or children. Our clinical director has worked specifically in the field of trauma and recovery for nearly twenty years, and has developed a genuine understanding of the trauma issues. Besides clinical consultations, AbuseConsultants.com has other creative ideas to provide healing and comfort for the painful wounds caused by abuse.

This site is also here to offer support and understanding for the loved ones of trauma survivors. Living with trauma and the aftereffects of trauma are extremely difficult on everyone, including the parent that was not aware of the abuse, the parent that struggled to stop the abuse, and the current day spouse or partner of a trauma survivor. Almost all significant support people have had many difficult years, and many of these support folks may suffer from secondary post-traumatic stress disorder themselves.
