Significant Support People: Therapists

AbuseConsultants.com is pleased to be a support service for the mental health professionals that are working with trauma, abuse, and dissociative disorders. There is a great need for more therapists in this field, and it is important that these helping professionals find sufficient support, training, and personal resources for their own well-being and for the sake of their clients.

It is true that working intensely with severe trauma and abuse can lead to secondary PTSD and can be highly exhausting, demanding, and chaotic work. However, the rewards can also be great, and it is very meaningful to see people’s lives improve and blossom in response to the work that you do together.

Our clinical director, Kathy Broady, LMSW-ACP, is available for clinical supervision or clinical consultation on any of the following issues:

Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID / MPD)
Sexually Abused Children (CSA)
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
Self Injury (SI)

We are planning to have this clinical information available to meet CEU (Continuing Education Units) licensing requirements. Please check back later for the status of this service.
