Thank You
This
month’s “thank you” feature is from a site viewer that
has become very dear to us at AC.
Dear
Kathy,
I have never used your pay services at abuseconsultants.com because
I have four children in which three live at home. So money is pretty
tight here. But I wanted to just let you know how much your site has
helped me. I am forty years old and my life is good but only on the
outside. I have never had any real counseling because I just can’t
handle it. The fear of the unknown I think. So this means everyday is
a major struggle to not let the abuse I suffered destroy who I am. When
I visit your web-site I really don't know what it is but I don't feel
so alone. I don't feel shattered and broken. I deal with so much pain
that there's not a lot of peace in my mind…
…I
go to your site and see everything that really does help me! Makes me
believe I will one day be ok. The writing
exercises help so much. I read the newsletters
and look at every beautiful poem
that inspires me to help myself. Thank You!! I wrote this poem to let
you know how much your site means to me:
No
Longer Broken
A
little broken girl with her little broken heart
Sits alone in her little broken world
Waiting for her broken
tears to start
Playing with her little broken toys
She prays for just a little broken joy
But too much pain
in her little broken soul
She kept broken secrets no child should ever know
She built a broken website
for beautiful broken children
No one to care. No one to listen.
Then one day her guest book would say:
“Thank you, Sandy, I really enjoyed my stay.
Don’t you worry, everything will be ok.
I know another website
I would love to show it to you.
AbuseConsultants.com
-- you’re welcome to visit a time or two.”
“Ok, Kathy, I will take a peek.
But you need to know I’m hopeless. I don’t think it will help
me.”
So I went to take a look around.
I was so surprised at what I found!
Little puzzle pieces but NOT broken up like me.
Oh this is different. It was so clear for me to see.
I read the letters
and the inspiring poems.
Worked through the exercises
that show you how to cope.
My heart felt the peace I lost so long ago.
I’m now filled with long lost hope.
Maybe to some it’s a web site full of pain.
They don’t understand. To me it’s a lifeline.
I have nothing left to lose but a wonderful life to gain.
Kathy says she’s from Texas
but I disagree.
She is an angel sent here from heaven to help people like me.
Broken into pieces to me was always a very bad thing.
Then one day I heard the music
on her CD -- now these words make me want to sing.
Will I be ok? Oh yes, I think I will.
Heaven has to be around the corner because I have already lived through
hell.
