The drawing "Inner Shadows" and this poem were based on my sculpture "Abandoned Child/Multiplicity". It is about how other parts of myself are often just outside my knowledge/reach.

Inside Shadows

they lurk in shadows
hide behind memories
never appearing
barely heard

in whispers they speak
jaunting, jesting
teasing me with
knowledge

just beyond
my reach
