| Walls
Our
hearts are filled with bricks from the past.
When will they crumble to free us at last?
Each day a small chip of the pain is slowly
broken
with memories we face and words that are spoken.
The wall we created is gradually falling away
as we keep tearing at it day after day.
Soon we will have more room in our heart
to replace with new memories and to make a
new start.
The wall will be gone replaced by a gate
to welcome in love and let out the hate.
Forgiveness will enter and hate will go out.
We'll finally understand what love is about.
Until that day comes we'll keep chipping away
at the bricks of our pain, our childhood decay.
