We
have been in the valley tasting a sorrow
so deep
that survivial was questioned----we just
wanted to sleep.
"No more nightmares!" we shouted,
"No more hours of lost time.
No more living life on the fringes, like
WE commited a crime!"
But we can't sleep forever, and we don't
really want to die,
But sometimes, though very rarely, we must
allow ourself to cry.
And the hot flood of tears spills quietly
down our face,
No longer do we hold it back as we did----another
time, another place.
Then little Sunshine and Stormee join in----we
feel them begin to cry,
And helper Roxie and frightened Lillie do
too cause they don't want to die.
Sarah sits calmly and quietly waiting for
the floodwaters to receed.
Then says in her most logical voice, "Very
good, for you have filled a great need."
